difference (some color correction would help a lot), but overall the
finished test seems to flow rather well. It was done partly for fun and
partly to discover and demonstrate what quality might be possible.
Future productions will involve scripts and speaking parts, as well as
music and yes, there are some younger cowgirls on the way. Everything
you see here was improvised - we will probably try to combine some
improvisation with more carefully crafted material.
The storyline of "Showdown at Cricket Creek" is very simple. When
Lola LaRue finds out that Texas Rose Rogers is headed to Cricket
Creek to meet up with the Kid, she locks the kid in his room and
hires a small army to back up her play as she plans to dispense a
more permanent punishment to her romantic rival.
We also intended to do an audio test, but someone forgot to tell the
producer to ask the director to remind the cameraman to turn on
the mike. The Crickets and the gunshots you hear on "Showdown at
Cricket Creek" are all from the original sound of the 1987 material.
