run out of famous outlaws for it's two railroad detectives to chase.
Nate Champion and his murderous girlfriend, Joan Jamison, are
just not in the same league as Jesse James or Billy the Kid, but this
is still a very intriguing episode for lady gunslinger fans, especially
British lady gunfighter fans. The stories in this series were based
on official newspaper files from the period and Joan Jamison was a
real person who came west from her native England before she took
a pistol in hand and killed her guardian in cold blood. Lisa Daniels
does a fine job as this female gunslinging outlaw with a British
accent who joins Champion in a cattle rustling scheme. Jim Davis
as Matt Clark and his second season sidekick, Kristine Miller as
Jonsey Jones, are soon in hot pursuit. Joan does manage to get the
best of Jonsey in a brief catfight, but in the end she is caught and
sent to prison . In the next episode, our heroes go after Sontag and
Evans. Doesn't that sound more like an old vaudeville team than a
pair of outlaws? But seriously folks, Nate Champion is a must have
for cowgirl gunslinger collectors. Highly Recomended *****
