This is another great example from the series of one dozen westerns
that feature Nell O'Day with Johnny Mack Brown and Fuzzy Knight.
These above average Universal Studios productions were all made in
1940, 1941 and 1942. This picture also features Elaine Morey as a
cowgirl, but it is O'Day who packs the pistol and knows how to use
it. In spite of this skill, there is one brief scene where she is captured
by outlaws and tied up. As usual, there are some great cowgirl
riding sequences and above average musical numbers. It's a re-make
of "The Ivory Handled Gun", a 1935 non-musical Buck Jones film.
