Laurie Anders cowgirl career was pretty much limited to the early and mid 50's. On Ken Murray's TV show she created a popular comedic cowgirl character who "loved the wide open spaces!" During their break from the TV show, Murray wrote and produced a low budget film called The Marshal's Daughter which was more or less based on her TV character. This came right on the heels of the demise of the series b-western, and the film featured cameos by several newly out of work cowboy stars.
