More than two decades before he was Jock Ewing on Dallas, Jim Davis
starred in this early TV western as Railroad Detective
Matt Clark.  In
this episode he's up against
Jean Parker as the infamous cattle rustler,
Cattle Kate.  Fans of smoking cowgirls will be interested in Kate's way
of killing lawmen when they get the drop on her.  She asks them for a
light and while they're holding the match and she's lighting up with one
hand, her other hand reaches for a derringer concealed in her belt.
Matt is about to light her up when he is tipped off to her trick by his
alert sidekick,
Frankie Adams (Mary Castle).  Matt and Frankie put Kate
behind bars but before her case can make it to trial, she is lynched by a
group of irate cattle ranchers.  Highly Recommended *****
